Today our topic is Setting Your Child Up for a Successful School Year. We’ll cover 5 Back to School Tips that ensure Successful Learning as well as parent questions:
Miriam writes:
My child knows how to read. The problem is bringing him up to speed. He reads 23 words per minute and according to the teacher he should be at 43 words per minute! What do I do to help?
Here’s another question – this time from Tonya from Texas
My son is in 6th grade and doesn’t really seem to care about his grades. It’s so hard, because I want to get the work all together and make sure he does it, but how long do I do this for? He needs to be responsible too. He is very lucky that his teacher lets them fix homework if it’s a D or an F. The only problem is he doesn’t seem to want to do it and I don’t know when he does get these grades. It’s frustrating.
If you have any ideas can you please let me know? Thank you!
