Linda M. Schulman Author of the Tales of Woofie Series

Linda M. Schulman is a children’s book author and illustrator who created the popular picture and rhyme book series Tales of Woofie for boys and girls ages 4 to 7. The Tales of Woofie book series are adventure stories about a California Farm puppy named Woofie. These books are filled with colorful illustrations, iconic rhymes, and a higher level of vocabulary.

In both books one and two, Woofie faces events that children relate to, and he overcomes problems by being smart and knowing what he wants as end results. In addition, he is a family puppy who knows that his brothers and sisters are all important and that they have his back.

Linda M. Schulman was born and grew up in the Bronx, New York.  When Linda was 8, she decided to become a writer, and eventually to write a book when she had more experience.

One day, several years ago, she bought a box of crayons and a Sharpie felt-tipped pen. From time to time, she would draw illustrations and color them in with crayons. All of the illustrations had the same character in them, a small brown short-haired puppy with strange looking ears. And as they say…the rest is history!

Listen to Linda’s inspiring story of how Woofie came to life! Linda also shares interesting stories about Woofie and reads some of the rhymes!
