This Awaken the Scholar Within Program uses specific learning strategies to address all of the areas of perception that impact learning. We all learn 3 ways, by hearing, seeing, and doing. Within areas of processing information there are 9 sub-categories each, totaling 27 areas of perception. Difficulty in learning is due to one or more areas of perception not working as well as it could, should, and can. The good news is, these areas can improve! The activities in the ASW Learning Skills Program address all of these areas, and also provide reading strategies that improve fluency and comprehension… in just 20 minutes a day. Kids with learning disabilities find that learning becomes easier. Learning disabilities are no longer a ‘sentence’ of not being able to learn.
